Click below to listen to my NPR reading and interview, to watch a UTube video of my radio interview in Ocala Florida or to listen to my podcast for Book of the Month in a National Book Club.

I have visited a dozen book clubs in the Tahoe Basin and Northern California so if you are interested in having me speak at your gathering, please phone me at 916-217-9841, email me at celestejleon@gmail.com or you can reach my email from the home page. I have also visited book clubs in Denver and New York City, so for distant locations, I am available through ZOOM or SKYPE.

Many thanks to Beth Ruyak and the wonderful staff of NPR, Capital Public Radio of Sacramento for hosting me on INSIGHT. Click here to listen to the interview and reading!

Watch the UTube video of my interview at WOCA “The Source” News Talk radio in Ocala, Florida. My deepest appreciation to hosts Larry Whitler and Robin MacBlane for their support. And thanks to the Ocala and central Florida communities and Barnes and Noble for hosting successful book signings and to Carlos Medina of the Ocala Star Banner for his article, Author Chronicles Dad’s Winning Lottery, Journeying from Puerto Rico to Ocala.

Luck is Just the Beginning was selected as Book of the Month in August for Las Comadres and Friends National Latino Book Club. I was honored to be a guest on their monthly teleconference on August 22 and to join the list of their previous book of the month authors. Listen to the teleconference as a podcast here.

As a four time past participant of the Truckee Meadows Community College Writers’ Conference, it was a pleasure to be a presenter in their 27th annual conference on April 8, 2017. Feedback received was excellent including: “Very real and genuine” and “Gave specific practical tips and examples, spoke conversationally and used presentation software…”

Visit  TMCC to find out about future events.

I was delighted to speak at my Alma Mater, University of Vermont last fall to a great group of athletes, coaches and faculty (some from the 80s!) after I was invited back to campus after the article Family Heirloom was published in the Spring 2016 Vermont Quarterly.

Thanks for visiting!
